Can drinking beer cause painful bumps on the tongue? I sometimes get painful bumps on my tongue that I notice a few hours or days after a beer drinking session. So what is up with that? Is alcohol known to cause this?

Can nausea/vomiting bring about painful, white bumps on back of tongue, near throat? I've been having a lot of nausea and vomiting in my pregnancy and was recently prescribed Zofran to help cope. When I started the meds, I developed these white little bumps on the back of my tongue, it hurts to chew/swallow food, sometimes talk. HAS ANYONE ELSE GOTTEN THESE, COULD THEY BE CAUSED BY THE VOMITING or maybe it's just a reaction to the medicine?

Small white bumps under tongue? So lately, my mouth has been feeling a little weird. It hasnt been painful at all, just hasn't felt right. Thats all I can relaly say about it. So i decided to look at my mouth in the mirror and noticed tiny tiny little grainy like bumps under my tongue. and under my tongue i mean beneath my tongue like where the stringy thing attaches to the tongue, the part where its really wet. haha....anyway. these bumps arent painful in anyway, they just feel weird against my tongue. Burnt Tongue? Very Painful...? I think three or so days ago, I was eating soup, not realizing that it was pretty hot. Now, every few months or so, I bite/burn my tongue, so I knew I'd be getting these little white bumps on my tongue - but never have they been this painful. They show no signs of decreasing. Painful bump on my uvula? My throat has been hurting a lot lately (maybe 2 weeks). It started hurting a week ago when I swallow. Tonight I looked (with a mirror) at the back of my throat to see if I could tell what was causing this. I noticed that on my uvula there is a small red bump. I think that the reason it hurts to swallow is because when I swallow, my tongue hits the bump and pushes the uvula up. Does anyone know what this may be and how I can fix it?

I'm guessing that all the little bumps all over my tongue are raised taste buds because their are so many of them, however some of them are really painful. Very painful "Strawberry tongue" - no other symptoms - what is it? My 4 year old and his friend from school have a strawberry tongue. Its too painful to eat. Not even chocolate can be tolerated which makes it clear how bad it is. It started out being a little sore and it was coated thickly with yellow/white covering, then the tiny bright reds bumps appeared when this coating disappeared - and the pain intensified. Apart from moderate fever which is being kept down by the paracetemol and ibuprofen, there are no other symptoms. Well, there has been an intermittent heat rash which appears on the trunk and neck when the fever spikes but then disappears an hour later when it comes back down again. Cant be Scarlet Fever without a proper rash, cant be Kawasaki without any other symptoms. What is it?

my tongue: a few bumps come up, i end up picking at them and....? my tongue gets inflamed and red and hurts a lot. eventually after about 2 or 3 days of picking at them (which, i already know i shouldnt, but it just gets so tempting and becomes a habit. it's worse than nailbiting, and a lot more painful) after 2 or 3 days of picking at them around 7 or 8 separate tastebuds becone very prominent and turn yellow. it's like having crumbs attached to the tongue under the skin and if i pick them off the tongue bleeds. it's so hard to stop. i thought they were caused by stress after i had them for about 3 weeks during my gcses (imagine, during a gcse exam, the irresistible urge to pick at my tongue and not do the exam. it's like being addicted to something that you hate. like nailbiting but waay more painful) i ended up going to the doctor and she suggested this stuff called adcortyl in orabase. i got it and put it on my tongue. it stopped me picking the bumps a bit. has anyone else had this? what is it called? are there any other ways to get it better? any foods that make it a lot worse or a lot better? i'm going to glastonbury festival tomorrow and would like some advice really fast, especially to stop myself picking at it because glastonbury isn't the most sanitary place and the doctor said that if i don't stop picking it then it will become infected. it's painful and unless im busy i end up picking at it or biting it. when i'm watching tv, reading, o the computer. it's become a really ba painful habit and i find it really hard to break. i need advice from anyone who has ever had this, and also from anyone who has some really good tips for breaking habits. thankyou. need answer fast! best one gets lotsa points
How do I get rid of lye bumps? I used to get 1 or 2 lye bumps at a time and they would disappear after a few days, but about a week ago I had several appear on the tip and around my tongue. Bumps on tongue? When I woke up this morning my tongue had alot of these little bumps on it. They're like redish and they get irritated when something touches them. It's not exactly painful...it's just really uncomfortable. And most of them are at the front of my tongue. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. Sore tongue? Okay, so I was being greedy and I bit down on my tongue way too hard while I was chewing. It was sore for about a day, now today I woke up with a painful bump on the tip of my tongue. It's so painful I can barely eat. HELP! How do I get rid of it?
Extreme difficulty swallowing, painful. Lymph nodes under tongue slightly swollen.? Symptoms began with kind a hesitation in swallowing. Yesterday developed pain in attempts to swallow and noticed lymph nodes under tongue where swelling. Tonsils removed. No visible indicators of strep.. This morning appears muscular swelling under toungue in jaw area. Sinus mostly clear but when blow nose med. to dark green expulsion with traces of blood. Most tender area when touched under jaw area is at a point towards the chin directly in front of lymph nodes, in front of the larnyx where a subsurface bump can be located. Overall pain feels muscular.
Strange bump on tongue...? I have looked everywhere, but I still cannot find anything. It flares up every month or so in the same spot.
