Tongue Pimples

Can you get warts or pimples on your tongue?

I just noticed these weird bumps on the back of my tongue, near my tonsils. My mom has a geographic tongue and I don't know if that is what I am getting or what. I don't know if I need to go to my doctor or just wait and see what happens.

6. I think I know what you're talking about and I have them too. Mine don't itch or anything or for that matter feel like anything or bother me at all. If yours do then they aren't the same thing. If they don't bug you then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. They aren't warts or pimples, just natural bumps. Nothing to worry about. I never saw a doctor, but to be on the safe side you probably should.
7. you can't get pimples or warts on your tongue..but to me its sounds like you got herpes type one...which is just sores. i ain't a doctor..but you still might want to get it checked out.
8. ew. seriously who asks something like that! no you cannot get warts or pimples on your tongue! warts are SKIN viruses and pimples are another thing that happens to your SKIN! and did you ever think maybe they were taste buds!? their bumpy looking!
9. What you're looking at are probably you're bigger taste buds...which are on the back of your tongue. They're supposed to be there. You can get "canker sores" or inflamed taste buds...buuuuuut...you'll know if you have those because they're painful...and usually appear on the walls of the mouth or gums. I'm thinking you just discovered your main taste buds...don't fret. If they ache or burn...those are something else...see a doctor for sure. Good luck.
