Tongue Pimples

bumps on tongue?

flesh colored bumps on tongue...anyone know what causes them? not on anything else in my mouth...just on the tip of my tongue and around the middle theres a couple taste buds raised and really rough, ive been eating plenty of acidic foods, and am on zoloft, focalin, antibiotics, and yaz...also have really dry skin with bumps also. just because its dry though. my lips stay pretty cracked and usually chapped...any ideas as to what causes this?

  1. Um..maybe ur bumbs are some sore spots..you know when u get if you ate something to sour. Try using orgel. And for your lips, blistex is teh best! And for your dry skin use body butter from body shop!:D
  2. I get those if I eat too much ketchup. I'll bet it's the acid.
  3. I suggest drinking about 4 glasses of water and see how that affect you. Doesn't hurt to try this simple test. I am wondering about dehydration.
  4. It's the food. When you eat alot of salt or acidic foods then your tongue will bump up. And with the lips it's the dry weather- try using lip balm every morning and try carrying it with you incase of lips getting dry again. And like you said= the skin is from the dryness also. Try lotion. Best Of Luck!
  5. Do you have metal in your mouth or do you rub your teeth against your tongue? That can cause bumps because I have bumps and I always rub my upper teeth against the higher part of my tongue.
