Tongue Pimples

white bumps on tongue?

hi...please let me know if u have experienced this. I had blisters on the inside of my upper and lower lips for awhile, painful, and not too big so they showed. After putting up with it for awhile, i finally used ambisol and got rid of them. NOW I have painful little white bumps on the front of my tongue. They seem to be enlarged, whitened parts of the tongue that are normally there, but they hurt. Anyone know what this is? thanks! from a previous post, I added this details : it won't be an std it does seem to be taste buds and i havne't changed my diet. i don't smoke

  1. I get them too. They're like inflamed taste buds. My husband says that eating bitter or sour or acidic things cause them.
  2. The tongue is normally covered by tiny bumps that are called papillae. Anything that irritates or inflames the tongue (like acidic foods/beverages) can make our papillae enlarge and appear as white or red tiny bumps.
