What are those little bumps that come up on your tongue?
I periodically get one painful small bump on my tongue. It pops up in various places on my tongue since I was a child. My mom used to call them "lie bumps". Anyway, wanted to see if anyone knew what these were?

- taste buds.. you taste stuff w/ them
- they are called "bumps you get on your tonuge", sweetheart.
- they are called hollow bumps. The bump means ya tongue is halthy and that ut stay moist, which is a good thing. so dont worry bout the bump. and it will hurt. but itz no big deal
- not sure. check with your doctor to make sure it isn't something you need treatment for.
- those are your taste buds.
- That is what my mom 50 years ago told me. Lie Bumps. Mine apear on the tip of my tongue at times, not often but they appear like a small white pimple. I will bite it and let the "gook" out and instantely well. Why do you get blood Blisters underneath your tongue?
- it is called a swelled up taste bud it goes away after a few days but is VERY annoying they sometimes get irritated by eating certain foods or sometimes caused by biting your tongue.
- These bumps are mostly the occurrence of you(swallowing, gargling, etc.)inserting in your mouth any hot or stingy substances , and your tongue is most likely has been scalded by the heat let off by the liquid.
- I ALSO HEARD THAT THEY WERE LIE BUMPS BUT I THINK THAT THEY ARE INFECTED TASTE BUDS
- Those are your taste buds. And I know what you're talking about when one gets infected. It's usually because you bit your tonuge or burned it.
- you guys...isn't that a kanker sore? Take some Lysine good stuff for kanker sores...or maybe I'm totally missin the boat here... :) Have a good day!
