Can drinking beer cause painful bumps on the tongue?

I sometimes get painful bumps on my tongue that I notice a few hours or days after a beer drinking session. So what is up with that? Is alcohol known to cause this?

1. they are probably lie bumps from all the stories you tell at the bar....no just kidding, i've gotten them when i drink to much, but maybe you could have some kind of allergic reaction to an ingredient
2. My hubby sometimes got them, and around his lips inside as well... He noticed it was usually when he drank a different brand than he's used to, so it is probably some kind of allergy or sensitivity. He now has one favorite brand that he usually sticks with.
3. No those are an STD you got from the hooker you picked up while drunk.
4. Allergic reaction, if I drink a lot of beer I will start to wheeze & my face turns red but what the hell, you only live once!
5. I HAVE HAD THEM TOO, I THINK IT IS ACID REFLUX FROM YOUR STOMACH.
