Tongue Pimples

What could be causing this? Thank you.?

A 20 yr old female has a tongue problem that began a month ago: A few white, raised bumps at the back of the tongue. they are small, like smaller than a nub earring. then a few little tiny bumps further up from them (very small like just dots), then the rest of the tongue it is whitish and peeling a little. When this started a month ago it was worse and it improved but these stuff is still on the tongue. it's like it doesn't go away; like it gets better, then a few days it comes back. but as i said it's not as bad as a month ago...the doc said looks like an infectious virus, but did a blood test and the blood was normal. he could not detect any virus or infection. he said they can be undetectable sometimes.... but the tongue shows that something is going on. I really would like to know what could be the cause of this. Will have to see another doc, but looking for some insights. Thanks for your help.

  1. yep something is quite wrong with the tongue. Pain? discharge? white pus? signs of something not right indeed!! You need specialized tests to find out what's really going on with it. Poison blisters??
  2. is it thrush? i think that's bacterial (it's gross, but it's like a yeast infection in your mouth). hmmm-maybe your allergic to something? that's an odd place to break out. ask for a blood/urine ph test and if your system's too acidic, go to the health food store and get them to recommend alkaline products/food/vitamins...
  3. it could be oral thrush its a fungal infection
  4. it can be a number of things. most likely a oral thrush (fungal) infection but it is caused more by a systemic problem. I would suggest you do a search on systemic candidiasis and do a full body cleanse. in the meantime, get tongue scraper and use a mouthwash with CL02. closys, freshenyourbreath.com oxyfresh keep smiling, Dr. Marvin http://www.myspace.com/askthedentist... http://www.smileiq.com
