Tongue Pimples

About my tongue?

There are raised up red bumps on the back of my tounge. Kinda looks like swollen taste buds. My tounge is really sore, like I have been licking concrete all day. Nothing else hurts. It makes it hard to eat and drink soda. It has been like this a few days.. anyone know what's going on?

  9. Have you eaten or drank anything real acidic, such as orange juice, lemon juice or something like that? Or maybe some kind of candy that has a lot of acid in it? Often times real acid drinks, foods or candies can cause this - and yes, it hurts. Sometimes it takes a few days to go away. If it does not go away after a few more days, I would head to the doctor.

  13. swelling of the tongue can become a big problem fast. it can impare breathing and can cause a person to vomit and then choke on that . people dont really choke of the tongue. i suggest a few things if you dont wish to just go see the doctor . one take an anti histamine that is an allery pill that you can buy at any drug store one called benadrly is the best but genectic brands of the same drug are cheaper and they are the same suck on some ice. think about what you have ate and what you have had to drink. is there a chance you might have been stung by a bug this happens often when people drink pop from a can and a bug goes it it and they just dont see it. this could be an infection and be more or a dental problem then a general medical problem. you may have hurt your tongue as well you could have done this in your sleep and not have even woke up. you may also have been rubbing your tongue on a tooth or something either because the tooth is sore or because your nervous about something. look to see if there is any bleeding. since this has gone on for a few days now its not likely an allergy but it could be. have you started any new medications. or had any new foods i think that if you take the anti histamine and suck on some ice and it does not settle down then you should have it looked at. as i said a swollen tongue can become a big problem i would advice you to not eat solid food or drink much until this is either gone or the doctors have told you its ok to eat. just stick to the ice and the anti histamine. gargle with some salt water as well table salt and tap water is all that is . oh if you have a pierced tongue then you should just high tail it to the hosptail and forget the rest of this stuff. i hope your feeling better soon.
