Mouth Sores?
I have 2 small raised red colored bumps right in the center of my tongue that have been there for over a month. Each one is less than 1mm in size but they are raised, and the sensation they cause makes me want to constantly swallow. I dont know what they are, Ive never had them before, and I dont have any ideas on how to treat it. Any ideas. I suppose it could be an allergy of some sort. My employment involves frequent handling of medications of every sort. The bumps are more eliptical in shape than a perfect circle. They havent changed in shape or moved. I did burn my tongue pretty bad a week or so before they showed up drinking coffee. I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.

- The fact that the lesions have been in your mouth for over a month is very concerning. While it could be due to some type of allergy/irritant, it may also be something a bit more serious. Have the lesions changed in size at all? Have they moved? Are they perfect circles, or are the corrugated in shape? Are you on any particular medications? All these questions (and more) need to be addressed with a dental professional, more specifically, an oral pathologist or oral surgeon. A biopsy may be indicated to better determine what the cause of your mouth sores is.
