Tongue Pimples

Allergic reaction?

I have a red rash. a few are raised but most of the bumps you can't feel. There are millions of pinhead sized bumps with red vertical lines. It started on my arms and nows its on both my legs, back, chest, feet, and pelvic area. I called my doctor but they said take an allergy pill and wait till morning. I was on doxycycl and metronidazol for a bacterial infection for 4 days now. I'm wondering if this sounds like an allergy to meds or something else. My tongue is starting to swell a tiny bit and the rash burns doesnt itch.

1. this is definitely an allergy to medication. A really bad one.
2. sounds like the meds, i had an allergic reaction too when i went on antibiotics... i suggest you keep taking the meds for the bacterial infection since you're almost done with them, the way i see the benefit outweight the sacrifices.

4. my husband and daughter are allergic to penicillian and this does sound like an allergic reaction. if ur tongue is swelling u should go to the Er they can give u meds to take it away I would stop the meds now, the doc told us if ur allergic to a med it will not work for u anyway!
5. if this showed up shortly after taking the meds then i would say yes. Did you tell the doc that you think this is an allergic reaction? If it gets much worses you may want to go to the er.
