Tongue Pimples

What are the little bumps under the tongue called?

I was looking at the underside of my tongue and noticed a few little raised pimple looking things that do not hurt. They're mostly the color of my tongue, I think one might be clear. The person in this picture has them too, although I have a few more than they do. Check out the bottom left corner of the tongue in the picture to see what I'm talking about. He has them in a few other spots too. What are these things called? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:P6231133.JPG

Public Comments

  1. little bumps under the tongue
  2. collups - but they are harmless - just like synaptic nodes where nerve endings are bundled up for your tongue (kinda like a wiring node and the top side are the sensors)
  3. They're called cancer.
