Are these symptoms of tongue cancer?
Two small bumps on each side of the tongue, painful when they hit something. Dry cough, sore throat. One bump is white, the other is just the color of the tongue. This appeared about two days ago. I'm only fifteen, and I heard that oral cancer is rare in younger people.

- How long have you had this? I've heard of people having these types of symptoms and it turned out to be mononucleosis. Which is a relief, for sure, compared to cancer. Get it checked out by a doctor, though, to be sure.
- I wouldn't worry about it being cancer but, you do need to have it checked out . It could just be a couple of ulcers. Try gargling with salt water until you get to the doctor.
- Don't worry baby its only a sore throat thats it...nothing like cancer. its gonna last for a week or 2..
- These symptoms certainly would think of cancer when first presented to the physician for diagnosis but you have your young age on your side. The Oral Cancer Foundation recommends that any sore that hasn't healed in two weeks time should be evaluated by a physician. The source below may be of some help. Good luck.
