Does anybody know what causes the painful bump that come on your tongue occasionally?
Some people call them lie bumps, but I want to know what really causes them and what they are. I know for a fact I don't have any stds I've been checked for every single one of them and came out negagive. I get checked once a year.

- If you are absolutely positive that it is not an STD...then it could be an allergic reaction to a certain type of food, temperature or an infected area. Use a small amount of hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash when this happens. Hydrogen peroxide is an active ingredient in teeth whiteners, it helps bad breath, keeps gums and mouth healthy. As long as you don't swallow too much of it, you are fine.
- i dont really get them, is it because you bit your tongue or maybe you have an ulcer
