What are these painful white bumps on my tongue?
On the very back of my tongue on the left side ( Where I can barely see it ) I have two painful white bumps. I don't know what it is, but they've been there for a few days. What could it be? I haven't had sex or anything so, I have no clue.

- i think that it is some form of heartburn or lots of stress.
- I had the same problem and the reason i got like that was bc i ate something that irritate it and found out it was cinnamon gum and it might be a few days to a week till it heals
- Ulcers. They will take about two weeks to go away {mine do anyway I have 4 at the moment}. It's from stress or too much sugar. Try to relax and eat less sugar.
- I get those on the tip and back of my tongue sometimes. It's caused from eating too much food, candy or soda with citric acid. Also if you eat a lot of fruit or drink a lot of orange juice, lemonade anything with the food acid it causes those. They go away.
- that is most likely viral stomatitis,,,a condition we all get at some point in our lives and it is harmless...will go away,,,avoid spicy, sour, bitter foods and drinks for a while and get more rest and take vitamins,,,your immune system is working overtime steve o out
- It could be dying tastebuds. That happens to me about once a year. They will get white and very sore for a few days, then they just go away.
- stomatitis is what it is. it is usually brought on by stress.
