My 2 year old has fever and white bumps on her tongue, should I call the doctor?
My 2 year old had a fever as high as 102.9 for 2 days, today is day 3 and the fever has lovwered into the 99s. We took her to the doc 2 days ago and nothing was found except the fever. Today I noticed she has 3 small white bumps on her tongue. She also has a couple of very small red dots on one hand, not sure if they are related, any suggestions? I also have a 3 month old, is this contaigios?

- you should defiently contact your doctor. the bumps may be an allergic reaction?
- hmmmm........keep a close eye on her. If her fever spikes I'd take her in. If not, just keep pumping fluids into her. The white tongue is prob nothing serious. However, my niece had white bumps on her tongue and it was diagnosed as THRUSH. But I don't think that is the case here. Depending on if your 2 yr has the flu/cold, your 3 mo could catch it.
- When I was in 4th grade, I got hand foot and mouth with the same symptoms and I had a fever too. This is contagious, so I would bring her back to the doc and keep her away from the 3 month old.
- boil all bottles and sippy cups, if this worsens go back to the hospital and request more than one docs opinion
