Are big bumps on the back of your tongue normal?
I have these bumps on the back of my tongue... I never actually noticed them until I ate Pineapple which I can't eat because of the tarty taste and I looked at my tongue and there were those bumps. They haven't gone away so I was wondering if this is normal....

- actually when i first some them too i kinda freaked out but i'm pretty sure they are normal because i've had them for a while and nothing bad has happend. lol didn't really answer the question but just wanted to let you know. =]
- no not 2 me
- I certainly hope so because I have that too. They don't bother me, so I figure it's OK.
- They are called circumvallate papillae. You usually have 8-10 of them and they have a few taste buds and saliva glands. They're perfectly normal! : )
