Tongue Pimples

I woke up and my tongue was black with bumps?

Last night we went to dinner at this italian place we go to quite a bit. I got the same thing I always do, a pizza and salad. About 20 minutes later, I got an upset stomach (I get them fairly often) and ended up having diarrea for the rest of the evening off and on. Haven't eaten since dinner. I have had a couple glasses of water, but that's it. I woke up this morning, and the top of my tongue all the way back was coated with some black substance and there was little bumps all over it, with bigger ones towards the back. The black comes off to some degree when I brushed my tongue with my toothbrush. Any ideas WTF is going on? If it matters, 23 y/o male, don't smoke, rarely drinks, ~150 pounds, 5' 10". 2. it is actually normal, it scared the heck out of me. Black, hairy tongue is the name of it, look it up online. it can be from bacteria or stomach upset, or even using things like pepto bismol. i actually thought i got poisened. you will be fine i promise.

5. Theres a medical book i found laying in my room... Theres a type of disease called “black hairy tounge”. It's a disease thats usually caused by smoking but thats funny since you dont smoke... Theres a cream you can take prescribed by your doctor (Kenalog?) and it also reccomends brushing with a soft bristled toothbrush (or cutting away the elongnated papillae) twice daily, but it is a good idea to check with your doctor before attempting anything...
