Big red bumps at the back of my tongue. Its been hurting everytime I swallow or talk and when I went to check?

my throat, I noticed these big red bumps at the back of my tongue. What could this be? Its not very painful but it hurts.

It would be a good time to see your doctor for a throat culture. That sounds like a bacterial infection. Maybe strep, but maybe something else if you don't also have a fever.
