  1. Bumps are caused either by fever or burns... rince ofter with warm water and salt
  2. Mosquito bites, don't scratch them. And the best way to get rid of them is to stop sleeping with your tongue hanging out. Hope this helped.
  3. Ohhhh i hate those. I think they are just ulcers on the tongue. Usually mine go away within a day or two. I don't think anything really gets rid of them, but you could try some teething gel for babies to numb it and to take away the pain.
  4. Those are infected/irritated taste buds. They can be caused by scraping pointy food on your tounge, scraping your teeth, or not brushing your teeth correctly. The only way to get rid of them is to leave them alnoe. Do not play with it, feel it, ect. Just try to ignore it and it should be more comforatable in a day or two.
  5. those are canker sores and you can also get them on your genitles i believe lol as for treatment i dont know any....apparently they heal in 3-6 days maybe longer, maybe shorter. but as far as treatment i dont really know of any talk to your local pharmacist lol
  6. My experience has been too much salt. Dislodged taste bud??? avoid citrus & salt until they go away. it shouldn't take that much time for them to go away because epithelial tissue is the fastest healing in the body. they are annoying. i used to bite them off when i was a kid. LOL that was the only way I got rid of them.
  7. my mom used to tell me it was from telling lies. LOL. I think the real reason we get them is by drinking or eating things that have a lot of "acid" in them, like oranges, tomatoes, sodas, stuff like that. I don't know what to do about them other than popping them with a sterilized pin. I don't recommend you do this. It hurts. Just let it go away on its own.
  8. cold sore or cankersore.. takes time. painful. can buy ointment at drug store or just wait it out. salt water rinse helps
  9. They are called canker sores. I have no idea but they hurt. There is numbing cream you can buy and do not pop or play with them. They only get worse! Stay away from salty or sasoned and carbonated fizzy foods. It will make them sting!!!!!!
  10. I get those when I eat sour or spicey foods. I think it's a way for your tounge to say, that it doesn't like those kinds of food.
  11. The tongue has several different "types" of taste buds. The ones that taste sweet and salty are on the tip third of the tongue. The way your tongue "tastes" is by the chemicals in your food (like a lock and key system) then the saliva washes over them- allowing you to "taste" again. When you eat a lot of sweet or salty foods (or suck on them for a long time) the tastes buds become "locked" and when the saliva flows over/into them they become irritated and inflamed (the fancy term is "keratinized"). This causes the tissue to turn a whitish color and will look like little white dots where each taste bud is. The tissue takes about 3 to 5 days to spontaneous heal itself. There isn't really a way to "get rid of them" unfortunately, because it's tissue damage. You can try taking ibuprofen (to reduce the irritation and inflammation) or gently brushing your tongue (WITHOUT toothpaste) with a toothbrush that you've run under warm/hot water.
