big bump on side of tongue...?
i have a big reddish bump on the side of my tongue and when i look up close it looks like little bumps in it that are kinda whitish but from a distance it is bright red. what could be the cause? it just appeared today! i do wear a night guard at night, and started a new toothpaste...but never had any bump on my tongue like this before. should i be concerned? it's also sore feeling

- It's probably some sort of cold sore inside your mouth. I've had it before, just use Sterisol mouth wash, if they have that where you are. I got the mouthwash at Shoppers Drug Mart.
- Its just a sore taste bud! It will go away but dont try to bite it or anything weird like that
- the bump is probaly a cold sore a sore taste bud this can happen from eating somthing really hot but the pain should go a away soon if you are that worried you can always go see a doctor but i think that it is not that bad it is probaly just a cold sore
