My mouth is killing me...?
I get canker sores all the time, but this doesn't look like a canker sore and it hurta A LOT more than one. I have a little bump under my tongue, smaller than a pea but still noticeable if I raise my tongue up. And it hurts realllllly bad, even if I'm not talking or eating or anything. It's making that whole side of my mouth hurt. Will Advil or Ibuprofen take some of the pain away? And what is it anyways?

- It could be an ulcer. I use ice to numb them.
- Go see a dentist a.s.a.p.!
- most likely its an ulcer and the reason it hurts more is because it's in such a sensitive area. rinse with mouth wash to kill the germs and then rinse with warm salt water to heal the wound. repeat 3-4 times a day and it should clear up in a couple days.
- You can use baby night time orajel for it, it'll numb it for awhile. Ice will help as well. It may have been caused by something you ate. Try staying away from acidic foods until it heals.
- You should really have a doctor or dentist check it out.
- When I used to get them as a child my mother would make me chew about 4 or 5 tums and keep them in my mouth for a few mins. They are acid reducers and canker sores are little ulcers that are brought on by acid.
- It could be a canker sore under your tongue. Your tongue is a very sensitive body part so it would hurt more there than on your cheeks or lips. Advil will help, and also they sell some stuff near where you would find orajel that is good for mouth sores. Rinse your mouth out with warm water, but not listerene or mouthwash, which could irritate it. However, I strongly urge you (especially if it's not gone in a day or two), given the amount of pain you're in to go to a dentist and have it checked out. There could be something seriously wrong. My dental hygienist always checks under my tongue for sores or signs of cancer, so you're better safe than sorry. Hope you feel better!
- . This site says to gargle with some hydrogen perocides @ http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/diseases_conditions/mouth/canker.html ; ... That has to taste Nasty! Tannin might help.
- It could be a virus and the doctor could give you a prescription. If it persists, you will want to go to the doctor or dentist for sure. Advil might ease the pain as well as an over the counter gel that numbs the area. Those are just temporary solutions but might help you feel better.
- for me, it cant hell because of the Advil and ibuprofen you are in taking. i have a great solution for that,,you must cheek-up by a professional doctor.
