Tongue Pimples

my son has white bumps along his gumline; recently had his quads cleaned and bit his tongue - gingivitis?

Recently my son had his quads cleaned. This is the 2nd time in a few years. He also bit his tongue and now has white bumps along his gum line and difficult to eat because he hurts. He is 18 years old. Do I take him to emergency or is there an over the counter remedy till his dentist opens?

1. why did he bit his tongue? Did they give him a LA to do the cleaning? Usually after the LA the patient should not eat any thing till the numbness goes. Take some antibiotics & pain killers, apply some antiseptic & anesatatic cream on the wound & use salt water gargle.
