Tongue Pimples
what are these bumps on my tongue
i get really bad sores on my tongue and they are very very painful. i dont have them all the time just like 3 times a month its mostly at night.i've been to so many doctors and they dont know what it is. anyone have an idea what it is or how to ease the pain?

- Canker sores? I would expect a doctor to recognize those, though. Try Campho-pheniqe (sp?) on the sores. Works for me with canker sores.
- It s probably a mild version of stomatitis. The skin of the tongue doesn't visually look irritated? and the bumps are of normal color, just swollen a little bit and very painful, right?the bumps normally appear at the sides of the tongue, either at the very back. The cause of it is normally bacteria and dirt, do you bite your nails?this is usually the reason. The advice is to rinse it 3-4 times a day with some herbal teas, also you can get a special liquid in pharmacy for that, also after every lunch rinse the mouth with hot water properly. But mainly, wash your hands properly and don't put anything dirty (like spoons in cheap restaurants) into your mouth. Good luck.
