Can anxiety cause a white coating on my tongue with red bumps?
It brushes off when I brush my teeth but could this go into my lungs if it is thrush??

- that is definitely thrush and you need to go to the doctor anxiety does not cause that. I have had anxiety and have never have that. It could be a virus or something but you should really see a doc.
- You have what is commonly called a "white strawberry". See your physician. It probably is thrush.
- It sounds more like some sort of infection. Bronchitis maybe? If it doesn't go away in the next couple days then definitely go to the doctor. I'm a high anxiety person, and I get drymouth sometimes, but no white with red bumps!
- You might have some sort of virus, have your doctor look at before you worry too much
- A white tongue means you probably have a virus of some sort, which is common when you've been dealing with high waves of anxiety. Anxiety takes it's toll on a body, wears ya down, and your immune system gets shoddy. Make sure you eat well, take vitamins, drink lots of water, and REST!
