I have a red bump on the side of my tongue.?
I have these raised red bumps on the side of my tongue. Anyone know what these are. They make my tongue hurt a bit. I never had them before. Any remedy for them? Thanks.

- More than likely, it's an irritated taste bud. Nothing to heal it except a couple days.
- Usually painful bumps like that are caused by an allergic reactions. I have had a couple of those myself, usually triggered by to much acid in a food or spicy food. They usually go down in a day. Other things they could be are canker sores, infection, or even oral herpes simplex. If they don't go away in a few days, I'd check with your doctor or dentist.
- They might be canker soars. You could try gargling some salt water That's what my mom used to tell me. If it don't work you might have some thing else.
