Tongue Pimples

I have red bumps on my tongue?

I get bumps on my tongue from time to time and iv done some research. All Iv found is that it could be raised taste buds. However, the bumps are not only on the back. I also have little areas that are sunken in on the side. Does any one else have any information that could help me? These bumps have been coming and going for a couple of months now.

1. Are you sure you havent bitten your tongue it usually happens to me when i accidentally bite my tongue. Do they hurt and make you want to rip them off? Thats what happens to me and i usually try and bite them off, i know thats bad but thats the only way i can ge rid of the pain!
