Could tiny red bumps on tip of tongue be caused after a penicillin shot?
My son received a shot of pencillin for a case of strep throat and the next day tons of tiny red bumps showed up on the tip of his tongue. He says they are NOT painful. Could this be a side effect of the shot?

- It could be - check his abdomen. If he has red spots or blotches there he could have developed an allergy, and you should discuss it with his doctor. (If it was yesterday, it wasn't serious enough for you to have to do anything now, but if he's allergic, he should never take penicillin again. (And, if he is allergic, and he needs an antibiotic and the doctor prescribes Erethromyacin, he should take it with an active culture yogurt.)
